Managing packages effectively is crucial for ensuring a smooth customer experience. This article explains what changes can be made to packages after they have been purchased and highlights the limitations to keep in mind.
In Gymcatch, you can edit certain aspects of packages even after customers have purchased them. However, the extent of these changes depends on whether you are dealing with a pass / bundle or a membership.
Editing Passes And Bundles
Passes and bundles are more flexible and allow for changes even after they have been purchased. For example, you can update details such as price, usage caps, titles, and valid objects.
However, changes to the pass / bundle setup will not retroactively affect those that have already been purchased. To enforce limits on existing passes/bundles, you will need to manually review and edit these by going to Packages > click on specific pass / bundle > Package customers > tick the checkbox next to the customer's name(s) > Update > from here you can add or remove credits and update the expiry date or expire now > Next > Update package.
Editing Memberships
Memberships have stricter limitations compared to passes and bundles. Once a membership has been purchased, you cannot change its pricing structure. This includes the number of installments, installment amounts, or billing periods. You can, however, update other aspects of memberships, such as usage caps, titles, and valid objects.
