Our waitlists work on a re-publishing basis. Once a place on an over-subscribed class becomes available due to a customer cancelling their booking, everyone on the waitlist will get a notification with a link to the class and can then choose to book and pay for this newly available space if they wish to.
For customers to receive updates about available spots, it is necessary to have their notification settings configured to enable updates when on waitlists.
Steps to enable waitlist notifications
On the Mobile App:
Navigate to Profile.
Select Settings.
Select Notifications.
Locate the option for "updates when on wait lists" and ensure it is enabled.
On the Web:
Click on your name at the top right of the screen.
Select the Notifications tab.
Ensure the option for "updates when on wait lists" is checked.
This available space will be reserved solely for booking by waitlisted customers for 30 minutes before opening for public booking, if not taken within that time. The first person to book will get the space.
Admins can also add customers directly to the waitlist within the admin portal and move customers from the waitlist to attending manually if desired.
All sessions scheduled on Gymcatch have a fully automated waitlist. Waitlist notifications will only trigger when a customer cancels their own space on a session. If an admin cancels a customer's booking for them or increases the capacity on a session, then this will not trigger a notification to be sent to waitlist customers.
Please note as a customer cannot cancel a course booking, there is no waitlist feature available for courses, however course sessions with drop-in bookings enabled and open will have an automated waitlist feature on them.
