It is not possible to directly convert a membership to a different type, e.g. from fixed to flexible. Instead, you would need to create a new version of your membership as the desired membership type and replace the version on sale with the new version. You can do this by:
Creating a new membership using the Copy an existing package button on the package creation page to copy this existing membership’s settings where you’d then ensure that you select the Flexible option under Membership Type.
Expiring any customer’s existing instances of this old fixed membership. This can be actioned immediately or at the end of their next billing period.
Removing this old fixed membership from sale.
Placing this new flexible membership on sale.
Customers can then manually purchase this new flexible membership once their old fixed membership has expired.
Please note when cancelling a customer’s fixed membership, if you choose to automatically cancel all sessions or those that are due to take place in future billing periods that were booked using this fixed membership, then once the customer has purchased their new flexible membership, they will need to rebook themselves onto these sessions in question using their new membership as payment.
