This article explains what each payment and chargeback status means within your GymcatchPay dashboard.

Payment statuses

  • Authorised - Type of transaction which freezes the specific amount of money in customer’s account.

  • Capture / Charged - Funds have been collected from the customer’s bank account.

  • Incomplete - Payment is submitted but not yet processed. Common for card payments during authorisation or when awaiting settlement. A new payment attempt will be presented in a new transaction line.

  • Settled - Payment funds have been successfully collected by Unipaas and reconciled.

  • Failed - Payment transaction failed likely due to technical or network failure.

  • Declined - Payment was rejected by the bank or card network. In most cases the decline reason will be presented (see below Common decline reasons section).

  • Refunded - The transaction amount has been returned to the customer.

  • 3D Secure - 3D Secure is an extra layer of security for online card payments designed to protect both you and your customers from fraud. During checkout, if a transaction is marked with a 3D Secure status, it means the cardholder was prompted to verify their identity, usually by entering a one-time password on their mobile device or using biometric methods approved by their card issuer.

Chargeback statuses

A chargeback is a dispute that was raised by the customer’s bank reversing the transaction. The statuses you will be presented for these are:

  • Regular - Chargeback received by the system. Mostly raised by the customer.

  • Cancelled - Merchant has defended the chargeback successfully.

  • Duplicate - Customer has challenged the cancelled decision successfully.
