Getting started with GymcatchPay

You can start taking payments as soon as you've created your GymcatchPay account and Unipaas via gymcatchpay@unipaas.com will let you know as soon as your account is fully verified.

To ensure a successful payments launch, we’ve pulled some helpful getting started tips and launch materials together:

New-to-Gymcatch customers

For new-to-Gymcatch customers where GymcatchPay is your first payment

processor we recommend:

  1. Once your GymcatchPay account is created, set GymcatchPay as the payment method for any session, package, course or on demand resource you’d like to use it with. Setting a payment method is always required when you create a new purchasable item, but if you’ve created any already you’ll just have to go into the Edit pages to update them.

Existing Gymcatch customers

For existing Gymcatch customers who are switching from a current processor we recommend:

  1. Once your GymcatchPay account is created, set GymcatchPay as the payment method for any new and existing sessions, packages, courses or on demand resources you’d like to use it with. For existing sessions, packages, courses or on demand resources you'll just have to go into the Edit pages to update them.

  2. Update your customers on the new payment process – we’ve provided some helpful instructions and assets below.

  3. Leave your current processor in ‘Connected’ status on the Payment processors page – this ensures any legacy recurring payments (e.g. Memberships continue to bill without interruption). Gymcatch will only present the currently set payment method, so this won’t cause confusion.

What does this mean for your customers?

If you’re an iOS or Android booker ensure you’re on the latest version of the app

here. If you’ve used the app before we additionally recommend you log out and

back in after install.

Then, whether on mobile or web, the next time you’re logged in and go to book or

pay you’ll see a new payment process that asks you to Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay where if you select to pay by card, you'll just need to re-enter your card details (which you can optionally save) for future use.

Announcing a new card payment processing partner – GymcatchPay powered by Unipaas

We’re excited to let you know that we’ve partnered with a new payment processor,

GymcatchPay powered by Unipaas. Unipaas is an FCA-regulated payment

processor, so you can rest assured they’re secure, reliable and will maintain the

payment service we expect. Unipaas.com for more information.

We’ve made the change because it both more seamlessly integrates with our

booking platform, Gymcatch, but also, quite honestly, costs us significantly less as a

business which makes a difference.

Launch announcement assets

Linked you’ll find 2 announcement versions you can download to support the switch:

  • One with an “Introducing GymcatchPay” message that can be used as-is (Email, Social).

  • One with space left to add your own logo if you’d like to co-brand (Email, Social).
